As a result of extensive training and experience, Drs Buxbaum, Beanland, and Chu are able to provide their adult and pediatric patients with several safe and comfortable anesthesia options during oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Many procedures are completed with the use of only local anesthetics (Numbing medications). Nitrous oxide(laughing gas) is often used to supplement local anesthesia to provide increased comfort to those patients unable to tolerate local anesthesia alone.
Many patients require or choose a form of anesthesia such as pediatric oral sedation, intravenous conscious sedation, intravenous deep sedation or general anesthesia. The ability to provide our patients with safe, effective outpatient, office-based anesthesia has distinguished the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery for decades. Our practice offers the most modern choices for anesthesia in a comfortable, safe environment. The anesthetics are administered by our surgeons with the assistance of our experienced staff. Patient safety is our top priority.
The choice of anesthesia that meets your needs will be discussed in detail during your consultation visit. Please be sure to ask questions. We are committed to your comfort and well being.
