Dr. Jaegak Kim is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon providing advanced surgical care for patients in Worcester, MA. Beginning July 1, Dr. Kim will see patients exclusively at the Worcester office. Known for his strong academic background, full-scope surgical training, and commitment to patient safety, Dr. Kim brings precision, compassion, and a steady clinical presence to every procedure.
Academic Background and Early Inspiration
Dr. Kim earned his undergraduate degree with honors in Biophysics before completing a Master of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of British Columbia.
His interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery was shaped by a deeply personal experience. After being treated as a patient for a severe jaw infection, Dr. Kim gained firsthand insight into the impact that skilled surgical care can have on a patient’s health, comfort, and quality of life. That experience ultimately inspired his dedication to the field.
Dental Education and Surgical Training
Dr. Kim relocated to Boston to attend the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.
He then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Boston Medical Center. This rigorous specialty training gave him a strong clinical foundation in the full scope of maxillofacial surgery, including both routine and complex surgical cases.
